Witam, and here ends my knowledge of polish!

I was wondering if someone tried to port scripts from Czas Zapłaty from the G1 engine to G2, specifically the sky changer/damage to nearby opponents one.

If not, can't we all work together and do so? I know many modders would love those features in their modification (im one of them)

I'm a bit noob on programming knowledge, but I've been able to make a lot of stuff in Gothic without that.

The scripts in questions are:
https://github.com/orcwarrior/Czas_Zaplaty/blob/master/Content/AI/AI_Intern/Damage_Func.d

https://github.com/orcwarrior/Czas_Zaplaty/blob/master/Content/AI/AI_Intern/SkyPresets_Func.d

I'll avoid quoting them here, in case I'll edit this post.

Also, I'm looking for a "script" from Czas Zapłaty, more a pfx than a script, the one that makes blood spurt from the victim once you finish him with your sword. I'd like to know how can someone achieve something similar.
Oh, almost forgot, is there any way to create a texture on the floor whenever a visual effect is called?

Cheers, Vic7im

I can give you hint to this :

Look how blood on the ground works, also fireball on collision does something similar :)

These are two separate mechanisms (although underlying algorithm which generates mesh is most probably the same).

In case of fireball, burned marks left on surfaces hit by it are created using parameter of the pfx (quad mark or sth). As I remember, you have very litle control on their placement. There are most probably severe restictions on the surfaces on which they can appear. I guess that at least it has to be mesh of the world.
